Through a collaboration between SAIH (Norway), ZAN­EC (Zambia), Equal Education (South Africa) and YETT (Zimbabwe), the organisations will work to strengthen civil society and students’ organisations. The focus is on academic freedom, and educational- and students’ rights. The organisations will work on advocacy campaigns, strengthening networks and soli­darity, and increasing documentation of vio­lations against students with an increased focus on LGBTI students and women.

The exchange participants will facilitate meetings between student unions and youth organisations, participate in discussions on issues of students rights and conduct research projects on higher education, students’ and youth issues. They will also work on managing advocacy campaigns, hosting workshops, and supporting the documentation and verification of rights violations against students.
