The Norec Network is a place to share experiences and develop new ideas, making it a network for the future.
More than 12,000 people have participated in exchanges through Norec since 1963. Just imagine how much you can all learn from each other!
About the Network
Since 1963 Norec has enabled 12,000 people to participate in exchange programs worldwide. Through these exchanges, they have shared knowledge and made the world a better place.
The idea for the network came about when we asked ourselves:
How can we make further use of the knowledge our former participants have?
The simple answer to that is – let’s create a network where they can meet, stay in touch and continue sharing knowledge across borders.
The network was launched in Nairobi, Kenya, in May 2023. By July 2024, 1,900 former participants have joined and the number of members keeps growing day by day.

The Norec Network has members from all over the world, with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Through «People of Norec Network» we wish to share some of their stories.
This is an opportunity for you to get to know more about our members. Where do they live today? What do they do for a living? What knowledge do they have that might be useful for you?
Post-Exchange Initiative
During their exchange, participants often come up with innovative ideas, therefore Norec has launched a trial project for a grant called “Post-Exchance Initiave”, for former exchange participants. With this grant, Norec aims to help turn some of these ideas into reality. Please be aware that for the trial project during fall 2024, only those participants who have finished their exchange in 2023 or 2024 will be eligible to apply.
